Description
Corky-fruited water-dropwort is a tall white umbellifer of damp hay meadows and acidic soil. However strangely it can also tolerate dry conditions. It is naturally found in only a few counties of the UK, such as Somerset, Dorset and Hampshire where it can be quite plentiful in the right conditions and looks beautiful in long white swathes. It flowers mid summer and would look great in a wildflower meadow or pasture to contrast with other meadow plants.
Other features:
Care should be taken as like other dropworts, the Corky-fruited water-dropwort plant is poisonous. Therefore it should not be planted if livestock are likely to have access to the area.
