Description
Acorus gramineus ‘Variegatus’ is a low growing semi evergreen grass with narrow variegated leaves. Grown for it’s foliage, rather than it’s flowers, it is an attractive grass for aquatic areas. It is great on the edge of a pond or stream in damp conditions, or will also tolerate growing within the water margins for a few centimetres. Small insignificant flower spikes appear in mid summer.
Growing advice:
This variety is less vigorous than some Acorus, so ideal for a small pond. It dislikes dry conditions, and if planting within the pond margins, we recommend transferring into an aquatic basket.
