Description
Achillea filipendula ‘Gold Plate’ has large rich golden flower heads. As a summer perennial it is easy to grow and is especially popular with pollinators, from hover flies, to bees and butterflies, which enjoy landing on the flat flower heads.
Achillea filipendula ‘Gold Plate’ is one of the taller growing Achilleas and can reach 1.5m. It offers an informal addition to the garden, and as Autumn approaches, the stems and finished flower heads can be left to provide structure over the winter.
It looks great with Ornamental grasses and Asters. Once the stems collapse, cut them back to allow the fresh feathery green foliage to develop in the Spring.
