Description
The Crested male fern is semi evergreen with bright green fronds. It grows best in cool, damp, part shaded conditions, but once established it will also tolerate dry periods. The variety ‘Crispa Cristata’ is a cultivar of the native fern Dryopteris felix-mas, and the attractive foliage of this fern makes it ideal for underplanting. It is low maintenance and will grow in most soils. In the garden it is ideal to plant under shrubs, in a shady border or wild garden being easy to grow. Perfect for wildlife.
