Description
Field scabious is a lovely blue meadow flower, which can flower from July through to September. It does prefer full sun, and is a favourite with bees and butterflies, so ideal in a wildlife garden. Although it will grow in most areas if well drained, it will do better in an alkaline soil.

The Field scabious is great to attract butterflies. It is also the foodplant of the narrow-bordered bee hawk-moth.
