Hard shield fern

Description

Hard shield fern is a native, evergreen fern found in shady woodlands, rocky hillsides, hedge banks or walls. The thick fronds are dark green and glossy.  It will grow in most soils, in shade or part shade. In the garden it is ideal to plant under deciduous trees, in a shady border or hedgerow being tough and easy to grow. Perfect for wildlife

The evergreen leaves provide shelter for wildlife all year round. They are also great for birds and small mammals to forage.
