Description
Jacobs ladder is a well known cottage garden flower. The native is either purple or pale lilac, and the flowers will continue through late Spring and into Summer. It will grow in full sun or part shade, and is perfect in a border or as a centre piece in a container. The leaves are carried on long arching stems, so even when not in flower, it forms an attractive plant through until Autumn, when the leaves turn a golden yellow.
