Description
Salad burnet is a pretty wildflower of chalk grassland. It has pale green flower heads which have a hint of red. The young leaves are edible and with a cool fresh cucumber flavour and fragrance. They are ideal to add to salads or salad dressings as the name suggests. In addition they are perfect to add to a cold drink on a Summer’s day. Easy to grow and perfect for any dry areas of the garden in sun or partial shade.
