Description
Taking cuttings to propagate herbaceous perennials is just one of the ways to create more of the plants you love. Many plants can be propagated from late Summer into the Autumn then overwintered; ready to plant out in the Spring.
In this beginners course we’ll share with you how to get started. It will be a great opportunity to learn how to take cuttings from early Autumn.
The morning will include the following:
Tools for cuttings
Compost & growing media
Types of cuttings
Learn how to take cuttings of Herbaceous perennials
Aftercare for your cuttings
There will an opportunity to practise taking cuttings in The Blooming Wild Plant Nursery demonstration garden with time to plant. You are welcome to take home your cuttings at the end of the course.
This is a hands on course with time spent both outdoors on the nursery and indoors in the propagating polytunnel.
All equipment provided, but feel free to bring your favourite secateurs.
Tea/Coffee and cake on arrival is included to set you up for a busy morning ahead!
