Description
Water avens is a plant for wet areas and damp boggy ground including sun or part shade. It will survive well at a pond edge, in bog gardens, wet deciduous woodlands, and damp meadows. The delicate nodding apricot flowers are gorgeous and the fluffy seed heads are attractive too.

In a bog garden or pond edge Water avens is great for attracting dragonflies, bees and butterflies, which then bring frogs, toads and other animals to your wildlife area.
Other features:
The plants can be divided easily and it self seeds but is not invasive.
