Description
White campion is less common than the red campion. It is usually a biennial so flowers in the second year of growth. It can continue to grow for several years after as a short lived perennial depending on the conditions!.
White campion is valuable to night feeding moths, whereas Red campion will attract pollinators during the day.

On occasion white campion will cross with red campion to produce a range of colours from white to pale pink and deep pink.
Other features:
White campion grows in most open habitats, particularly wasteland and fields. It prefers a neutral to alkaline well drained soil.
