One of the wild geraniums found in the UK is the H One of the wild geraniums found in the UK is the Hedgerow geranium or cranesbills. The tiny flowers are as pretty as any cultivated geranium and equally attractive to insects; providing nectar in the warmer months .
Hedgerow cranesbill will grow in sun or part shade, is low growing and is lovey as undercover in a wildlife garden.
Although it is not strictly a native UK wildflower- in nature it can be found growing in hedgerows and roadsides where it adds a sprinkle of colour .

After the rain. 🌧🌧 Ox eye daisies are just s After the rain. 🌧🌧
Ox eye daisies are just starting to appear in road side verges, grassland or meadow areas large and small.
They are usually one of the first ‘meadow’ flowers to establish being a pioneer species meaning they are quick to develop and spread.
So it may take a while for other wildflowers to catch up. (Like the tortoise and the hare!)
Not only do we think Ox eye daisies look great , but pollinators do too as they are readily attracted to the yellow centre which is actually made of up lots of little flowers full of nectar 🦋🐝

The Ragged Robin flowers have a ragged charm that The Ragged Robin flowers have a ragged charm that blends perfectly into a wildflower area or pond edge.
On first glance they appear randomly formed but close up they are as pretty and delicate as any cultivated flower with a vivid pink that lasts for weeks on end attracting pollinators large and small.
They prefer a moisture retentive soil in sun or part shade and as they gradually develop they create a stand out hit of colour in a border, pond or stream edge.

A beautiful Buttercup water meadow ☀️ The mead A beautiful Buttercup water meadow ☀️
The meadow acts as a natural floodplain for the River Stour and was completely flooded after the storms earlier in the year…..but now it’s a wildflower picture postcard full of meadow buttercups and red clover!💕
